Abstract
To investigate the potential of mammalians species in Taman Nasional Gunung Palung,West Kalimantan an exploration of small mammalians i.e. ’tikus hutan’(Rattus) species, was conducted. The exploration activity of Rattus was conducted in Lubuk Baji, TNGP. The purpose of the exploration was to study the existence of Rattus species in the area, as well as collecting specimen and creating terrarium. The exploration found 5 (five) species of tikus huta (Rattus), i.e. Maxomys surifer, M. rajah, and M. witheadi, Leopoldamus sabanus, and Sundamys muelleri. Specimens was collected only from Maxomys surifer and Leopoldamys sabanus. Terrarium as miniature oft habitat was created for those species.,
